You’ve been admitted. What must I do next?亚博网站最新

To reserve your space for fall 2020, you must complete a three-step Intent to Enroll process by the extended deadline of June 1, 2020 by 11:59 p.m. Our offer of provisional admission is only valid for the fall 2020 term. You may not defer your enrollment to a later semester. Our offer of provisional admission will be withdrawn if you fail to complete all three steps of the Intent to Enroll process, as described below, by the deadline.

For instructions on how to complete the 3-step Intent to Enroll process.

Step 1:
Accept our Offer of Provisional Admission by the extended deadline of June 1, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. by logging onto your myCI portal.

Step 2:
Choose a Mandatory Virtual?Orientation Session by the extended deadline of June 1, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. by logging onto your myCI portal.

Step 3:
Pay the Non-Refundable Orientation Fee of $50 by the extended deadline of June 1, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. by logging onto your myCI portal.

Can I defer payment of the orientation fee until my financial aid award is disbursed?
This depends, as NOT ALL STUDENTS WILL QUALIFY. Students who filed a 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act application on or before the March 2, 2020 deadline AND have an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) of 4,000 or less will be considered for a deferment. You must check the “Holds” section of your Student Center (visible in the upper-right corner of your portal). If you do not see “FA Orientation Deferral,” then you must pay the fee by June 1, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. or our offer of provisional admission will be withdrawn – no exceptions!

If you see “FA Orientation Deferral” noted in the “Holds” section of your Student Center, then payment of the orientation fee will be charged to your first semester’s account. In other words, your fee will be deferred (but not waived).

Is the orientation fee refundable?
Once paid, the orientation fee is non-refundable and may not be applied to a future term. This means you will NOT receive a refund even if (a) you request to have our offer of admission (provisional or final) withdrawn at a later date or choose not to enroll; (b) our offer of provisional admission is withdrawn because you failed to meet an admission or enrollment requirement or deadline (including the transcript deadline); or (c) our offer of provisional admission is rescinded after reviewing your final transcript(s).

IMPORTANT: You may be held responsible for paying the orientation fee if you were deferred and any of the above conditions apply. Contact orientation@csuci.edu if you have any questions about the fee.

Step 4: Submit SAT/ACT test scores (if required)亚博网站最新

Deadline for CSUCI to receive your SAT/ACT test scores (if required) is Jan. 13, 2020. Most students should have submitted their test scores as part of the admissions application process.

Step 5: Apply for Financial Aid亚博网站最新

If you have not already applied for financial aid, file a FAFSA or California Dream Act application by March 2, 2020. If requested, you must submit all required and completed documents by the Financial Aid Priority Filing Deadline of May 31, 2020.To receive a tuition fee deferral and ensure timely processing of your financial aid award, you must meet the March 2, 2020 deadline and, if applicable, the May 31, 2020 deadline. Remember, you pay for any difference between your financial aid award and your actual fees.

For additional information, visit Financial Aid and Scholarship at go.csuci.edu/financialaid or e-mail financial.aid@csuci.edu for questions.

Step 6: Apply for Housing (optional) has been extended to July 1亚博网站最新

Although not required for incoming students, living on campus is a popular option for both new and continuing students. July 1, 2020 is the housing application priority deadline for incoming freshmen students interested in housing. For additional details, please visit the Housing webpage at go.csuci.edu/Housing.

Step 7: Early Start (suspended)亚博网站最新

Due to disruptions in instruction in public and private high schools and in standardized testing, it is the CSU’s intent to suspend the Early Start Program for summer 2020. New first-year students for fall 2020 will continue to be assessed for placement based upon multiple measures outlined in Executive Order 1110. Further communication will be provided to students as updates are received.

Step 8: Submit Final Transcripts (deadline extended)亚博网站最新

In order to receive final clearance to attend CSU Channel Islands in the fall, you must arrange to have your final transcripts (with your graduation date posted) and AP scores (if any) sent directly to the Admissions Office at the address noted below. These documents must be received by CSU Channel Islands no later than July 15, 2020:

CSU Channel Islands
ATTN: Admissions - Sage Hall
One University Drive
Camarillo, CA 93012

Electronic transcripts are preferred. Do NOT email or fax transcripts. Our offer of provisional admission will be withdrawn if you fail to meet the transcript deadline.

NOTE: Improperly addressed transcripts may not reach the Admissions Office. Please address your transcripts as noted above.

Step 10: Submit Residency Documents (if required)亚博网站最新

Deadline to submit Residency documents for students with a residency status of “Another State or U.S. Possession” or “Undetermined” has been extended to July 31. Those who submit their documents after the deadline, or submit incomplete documents, may not have them processed in time for fall 2020 term. This may result in students being charged non-resident tuition for fall 2020. State residency determines admissions criteria and fee structure for all applicants. Your residency is determined by the information submitted in your application for admission and is referenced in our offer of provisional admission letter. For additional information please visit: go.csuci.edu/CAresidency or e-mail records.registration@csuci.edu for questions.
