To reserve your space for spring 2021, you must complete a three-step Intent to Enroll process by Wednesday, September 30, 2020 by 11:59 p.m. Our offer of provisional admission is only valid for the spring 2021 term. You may not defer your enrollment to a later semester. Is the orientation fee refundable?
Once paid, the orientation fee is non-refundable and may not be applied to a future term. This means you will NOT receive a refund even if (a) you request to have our offer of admission (provisional or final) withdrawn at a later date or choose not to enroll; (b) our offer of provisional admission is withdrawn because you failed to meet an admission or enrollment requirement or deadline (including the transcript deadline); or (c) our offer of provisional admission is rescinded after reviewing your final transcript(s).

IMPORTANT: You may be held responsible for paying the orientation fee if you were deferred and any of the above conditions apply. Contact orientation@csuci.edu if you have any questions about the fee.

Step 4: Submit Final Official Transcripts and AP/CLEP Exam Scores by October, 5, 2020?

Deadline for CSUCI to receive your final official transcript(s) with?summer 2020 grades posted. Transcripts must be requested from all colleges attended even if no credit was earned. Electronic transcripts are preferred. It’s your responsibility to request official transcripts from all community colleges and/or universities attended (even if course credit is reflected on another school’s transcript) and have them submitted by Monday, October 5, 2020. If you are a lower division transfer student (less than 60 semester/90 quarter transferable units) you must also submit your official high school transcripts and SAT/ACT test scores by this deadline. Your admission will be withdrawn if all transcripts are not received by the deadline. No email or faxes are allowed. Please mail transcripts to:

    Note: If you have taken coursework from an institution outside of the United States, your transcript must be evaluated by a credentials evaluation service, such as International Education Research Foundation (IERF) at www.ierf.org.   • Deadline to submit Advanced Placement (AP) and CLEP exam scores. If you took AP exams in high school or College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams, you must request that your official scores be sent to us directly from the College Board by this deadline (unless you have already done so).

    *AP/CLEP credit awarded from your transferring institution will not suffice. Exams taken four or more years require additional processing time. Please plan accordingly. Request scores at least 6-8 weeks in advance.?

Step 5: Submit Residency Documents (if required)
Deadline to submit Residency documents for students with a residency status of “Another State or U.S. Possession” or “Undetermined”?is Friday, October 30, 2020.?Those who submit their documents after the deadline, or submit incomplete documents, may not have them processed in time for spring 2021 term. This may result in students being charged non-resident tuition for spring 2021. State residency determines admissions criteria and fee structure for all applicants. Your residency is determined by the information submitted in your application for admission and is referenced in our offer of provisional admission letter. Can I defer payment of the orientation fee until my financial aid award is disbursed?
This depends, as?NOT ALL STUDENTS WILL QUALIFY. Students who filed a 2021-2022?Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)?or the?California Dream Act?application on or before the March 2, 2021 deadline AND have an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) of 4,000 or less will be considered for a deferment. You must check the “Holds” section of your Student Center (visible in the upper-right corner of your portal).?If you do not see “FA Orientation Deferral,” then you must pay the orientation fee by 11:59 p.m. on May 3, 2021 or our offer of provisional admission will be withdrawn – no exceptions!

If you see “FA Orientation Deferral” noted in the “Holds” section of your Student Center, then payment of the orientation fee will be charged to your first semester’s account. In other words, your fee will be deferred (but not waived).

Remember, you pay for any difference between your financial aid award and your actual fees.
